A voice note halfway up a hill. A photo of the corner café. A thought you would rather not lose by Thursday. Fennec listens when you ask it to, writes the moment up in your own words, and files it somewhere only you can reach.
Privacy
No account, no cloud, no tracking. Your notes and transcripts sit in an encrypted database on this phone, your photos and voice notes sit beside it in Fennec's own storage, and none of it is uploaded anywhere. That is not a setting you have to find. It is how the app is built.
Your voice becomes text on the phone, by Whisper or by your iPhone's own dictation, whichever you pick during setup. A vision model describes your photos. A language model gives the memory a title and tags. All of it runs on the iPhone itself, offline, on models you download once and keep.
Your notes, transcripts, titles, tags and places live in a database locked with AES-256, and Fennec refuses to open at all if it cannot open that database encrypted. Photos and voice notes are kept as plain files in Fennec's own storage rather than encrypted one by one. Fennec uploads none of it and has no account for anyone to get into. What your phone's own backup does with its files is between you and your phone.
Recording starts when you tap Record and stops when you tap stop. Fennec never listens in the background, and there is nowhere for a recording to go except your own phone.
Export the lot as one zip file: notes and transcripts as JSON and Markdown, photos and voice notes as ordinary files. Fennec hands it to the share sheet and you take it from there. Or delete every byte of it, for good.
What it does
No feed to scroll, nobody else in it, nothing competing for your attention.
Tap once. Say what happened, add photos, or jot a line. Fennec transcribes the voice note, describes the photos, writes a title and tags, and files the memory under the day it happened.
Ask for it the way you would remember it. Where did I have that cake? Fennec searches by meaning as well as by words, and you can narrow things down by date, place, tag or category.
Every memory that knows where it happened becomes a pin. Places you keep going back to gather into one, and tapping it shows you everything you kept there.
A quiet count of what you have kept: how many, how long your streak is, how many places and photos, and badges at 10 memories, 50, 100 and 365.
Ask for Face ID, Touch ID or a PIN before Fennec will open, either straight away or once you have been gone a while.
A complete copy of your memories in one zip file you can keep, back up, or carry to a new phone. Fennec builds it and hands it to the share sheet, and nothing is uploaded on the way.

Fennec is still being built, and how it gets paid for is a real question we would rather answer properly than quickly. So this section is empty on purpose. There is no number here, no plans to compare, and nothing to sign up for.
When there is an answer, it will be written plainly, in this spot, in all eighteen languages, before anything at all is asked of you.

It is being built for iPhone, carefully rather than quickly, which is another way of saying there is no date to give you. There is no email list here either. Collecting nothing is rather the point.
